Official | Ellyes Skhiri returns to Cologne Ellyes Skhiri has joined Cologne from Eintracht Frankfurt in a move that saw the 31-year-old return to the Billy Goats after three years. According to Sky Germany , the transfer fee for Skhiri is around €1.5m. Of that, approximately €1m is agreed as a fixed payment. The Tunisian midfielder made 82 Bundesliga appearances for Frankfurt over three seasons at the club. He also played 32 times in European competition, including in the UEFA Champions League. Upon Skhiri’s departure from Frankfurt, Sporting Director Timmo Hardung stated: “Ellyes always put the team first during the three years that he spent here, and his performances and professionalism made him an important part of the club. We would like to thank him for his time at Eintracht Frankfurt and wish him all the very best for the future, both on and off the pitch.” Skhiri has signed a contract until 2028 and is a welcome addition for Cologne, who seem to be light in midfield options.
