Fabrizio Romano: Liverpool have reached agreement with Premier League star Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Agree Terms with Yankuba Minteh Just ten days remain of the summer transfer window and Liverpool are expected to be extremely busy. The Reds remain in talks to sign PSG forward Bradley Barcola in a mega-money deal, but another agreement is on the cards. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh. Speaking on X, he said: “Liverpool and Yankuba Minteh have a broad verbal agreement on contract terms as the player said yes to #LFC project.” “Brighton rejected £60m bid sent today but talks continue, as @foday_manneh_ reported.” Romano also reported that Liverpool are optimistic in their attempts to sign Minteh, despite having a £60m bid rejected for the player. He said earlier: “Liverpool submit £60m proposal for Yankuba Minteh after personal terms agreed with Gambian winger.” “Negotiations underway with Brighton as #LFC are optimistic to sign Minteh.” “Not an alternative but in addition to Bradley Barcola, who remains the top target.” Minteh would come into the squad to try and fill the void left by Mohamed Salah on the right-wing. Whilst Barcola would immediately come into the starting lineup on the opposite flank, and potentially open the doors to a Cody Gakpo exit with Tottenham Hotspur interested. The Brighton forward seems to be an alternative to Barcola’s PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye, who Liverpool were reportedly interested in. That interest has now cooled, and the Reds have seemingly set their sights on a move for Minteh. His ten goals and nine assists in 73 appearances for Brighton doesn’t scream world-class. But his blistering pace and ability to get the ball into the box could be perfect as Liverpool look to maximise the quality of Alexander Isak.
