Nottingham Forest to rival Crystal Palace in race to sign Kevin Danois from Auxerre

Nottingham Forest to rival Crystal Palace in race to sign Kevin Danois from Auxerre Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign former France U21 international midfielder Kevin Danois (22) from AJ Auxerre, according to a report from  L’Equipe . The 22-year-old midfielder is expected to leave the Yonne side in what could be a club-record deal, surpassing the 2004 sale of Liverpool-bound Djibril Cissé for €20m. Indeed, Auxerre are hoping for a €30m+ transfer for their Academy product, who is tied with his formative side until 2029.  Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace have identified Danois, a tireless box-to-box midfielder, as an ideal fit for the Premier League. After two full seasons in Ligue 1, on the back of a Ligue 2 title in 2024, Danois arguably became one of the league’s most promising midfielders. Auxerre head coach Will Still named him the team’s captain, but the former Southampton manager could be forced to change his plans. GFFN | Bastien Cheval
