Real Madrid eye ambitious swoop for 2025 Ballon d’Or winner – report
Real Madrid eye ambitious swoop for 2025 Ballon d’Or winner – report Real Madrid are in a bid to strengthen multiple positions across the park as Florentino Perez looks to hand Jose Mourinho a clean sheet to restart the club’s project. The ongoing summer transfer window, in that sense, is witnessing Los Blancos linked with virtually every big name in world football. From Rodri to Vitinha, Joao Neves, Michael Olise and even Erling Haaland, Real Madrid fans have truly seen it all in terms of transfer links this summer. TRT Spor , in that sense, brings a report that tops them all with a massive link. The reigning Ballon d’Or winner Indeed, the player the Turkish outlet are linking Los Blancos with is none other than PSG star and current Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele . (Photo by Matthew Stockman/Getty Images) The former Barcelona star has well and truly turned his career around since leaving the Catalan club and joining PSG and has now become one of, if not the best right winger in world football. As per the outlet’s update, Real Madrid are set to kick off an operation to land Dembele this summer very soon as they see him as a massive upgrade to the right wing, where they currently lack quality players. A dubious link While the prospect of Dembele joining Real Madrid is indeed exciting, the rumour can be described as dubious at best, especially at this early stage. The new ‘Galactico’ signing? (Photo by Lars Baron/Getty Images) Given that the club were considering Olise not too long ago, it does not come across as a surprise that Dembele’s name has risen as a possible ‘Galactico’ signing. What complicates the deal, however, is the fact that Dembele is currently at a team where he has won two consecutive UEFA Champions League titles and one Ballon d’Or. He even has a chance at a second shot at the prestigious individual award. That, coupled with his history with Barcelona and contract until 2028 in Paris, makes the transfer improbable, if not impossible.
