Report: Liverpool interested in move for Real Madrid star Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Make Endrick Enquiry as Real Madrid Respond Liverpool have made an enquiry over the availability of Real Madrid forward Endrick as Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen his attacking options before the summer transfer window closes. Paul Joyce of The Times reports that Liverpool have asked about the Brazilian international, whose prospects of regular football at the Bernabeu have been affected by Real Madrid’s £120million signing of Yan Diomande. However, Real Madrid’s position is understood to be clear at present, with the Spanish club not looking to allow Endrick to leave. Endrick Enquiry Highlights Liverpool Search The Endrick development represents one of the more intriguing elements of Liverpool’s attempts to reinforce their forward line. Joyce reports that Liverpool “asked about the availability of Endrick”, although Madrid “are not looking to let the Brazilian leave.” Endrick’s situation has become more complicated following the arrival of Diomande, who Liverpool themselves attempted to sign earlier in the summer. Liverpool submitted a package worth £85.6million to RB Leipzig for the winger, but the offer was rejected before Real Madrid eventually completed a £120million deal. That move has increased competition within Madrid’s attack and Liverpool have subsequently established whether Endrick could become available. There is currently no indication that negotiations between Liverpool and Madrid are taking place, with the enquiry understood to have been met by a firm response. Nevertheless, Liverpool’s interest underlines the club’s intention to add significant attacking quality before the deadline. Brighton Reject Minteh Offer Liverpool have also made a £50million bid for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh, which has been rejected. Photo IMAGO The 22 year old joined Brighton from Newcastle United for £30million in 2024 and has registered nine Premier League goals and eight assists across two seasons. Joyce reports that Minteh is “believed to be keen on the move”, although Liverpool must now decide whether to improve their offer. His current fitness situation adds another consideration. Minteh underwent surgery after suffering a leg injury during Brighton’s pre season victory over Roma and is expected to be unavailable for around two months. Liverpool view the Gambia international primarily as an option from the right side of Iraola’s attack. Barcola Remains Major Liverpool Target Paris Saint Germain winger Bradley Barcola remains another prominent target. Liverpool and PSG remain apart in their valuations, with the French champions having initially placed a £145million asking price on the forward. Liverpool ideally want to add Barcola alongside another wide attacker. Victor Muñoz has already joined from Osasuna for £34.5million and can operate from either flank, while Iraola can also call upon Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa. The pursuit of Minteh, continued interest in Barcola and enquiry for Endrick demonstrate the scale of Liverpool’s search. Our View, EPL Index Analysis Liverpool asking about Endrick is exactly the sort of development that should intrigue supporters. There is no agreement, no negotiation appears to be under way and Real Madrid currently have no intention of allowing him to leave. Those details matter. Yet Liverpool making the enquiry is interesting in itself. Endrick remains an exceptional young talent and the arrival of Yan Diomande inevitably creates another obstacle between the Brazilian and regular first team football in Madrid. Liverpool clearly recognise that. For Iraola, the attraction is obvious. Endrick brings pace, direct running, strength and an instinct for attacking the penalty area. He would also provide something different from Liverpool’s existing wide options. Minteh appears far more attainable, although a potential fee north of £50million deserves proper scrutiny given his Premier League output so far and his current injury. Barcola remains the standout established target and would represent a major investment if Liverpool can bridge the valuation gap with PSG. Endrick feels different. This could simply prove to be Liverpool checking the market and receiving a straightforward refusal. It could also become relevant if Madrid’s position changes during the final days of the window. For Liverpool supporters, that makes his situation one worth following closely.
