There have been some conflicting reports on the exact transfer fee, as some outlets in Italy claimed that the buy option could be as high as €27m with various add-ons and bonuses earlier this week. Badiashile becomes Napoli’s second new first-team signing of the summer transfer window following the arrival of Costantino Favasuli from US Catanzaro earlier this week. The buy options for Rasmus Hojlund, Alisson Santos and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic were also exercised this summer. He had made 135 competitive appearances for the Ligue 1 side before turning out on 42 occasions in the Premier League with Chelsea over the last four seasons.
