Tottenham target Savinho absent from Manchester City squad but Marmoush included against Bournemouth Savinho has been left out of Manchester City’s squad to face Bournemouth as the Brazilian closes in on a move to Tottenham Hotspur. Omar Marmoush has also been linked with a transfer to Spurs, but he has been named among the substitutes for their opening game of the season. Tottenham have agreed an £85 million deal to sign Savinho , with an initial £75m fee plus £10m in add-ons. The 22-year-old was also not part of City’s squad that lost 3-0 to Arsenal in the Community Shield last weekend. Savinho joined the Manchester giants in 2024 from Troyes following a standout loan campaign at Girona. Despite his promise, he has failed to establish himself as a regular for City. Last season, the young forward started only seven matches in the Premier League. Marmoush has been named as a substitute against Bournemouth, although negotiations with Tottenham over a move have reportedly reached an advanced stage. The Egyptian has struggled for first-team opportunities since his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt in January last year. Playing as a backup to star striker Erling Haaland, he made only eight top-flight starts in 2025-26. Marmoush is keen to join Spurs , where he can hope to earn more first-team opportunities.
