Al-Hilal in talks to sign Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli who is open to Saudi move
Al-Hilal in talks to sign Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli who is open to Saudi move Al-Hilal are working on a deal to sign Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli this summer . According to The Athletic , the 25-year-old is open to the possibility of joining the Saudi Pro League club. Arsenal are demanding a fee around £60 million to sanction Martinelli’s sale. No agreement has been reached between the two clubs and talks are ongoing. The Brazilian was subject of a transfer bid from Galatasaray earlier this summer, but the player made it clear he wasn’t interested in moving to Turkey. Martinelli is now said to be open to the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia. His current contract will expire in June 2027, with the London club having an option to extend by a further 12 months. The talented forward can operate on either flank, and is highly rated for his blistering pace, directness and goal threat. He has been an important player for Arsenal since arriving from Ituano in 2019. Martinelli has made 278 appearances across all competitions, bagging 62 goals and 36 assists in the process. But he could struggle for first-team opportunities if he remains at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have added Christos Tzolis, who impressed on his debut against Coventry City on Saturday. Arsenal were also keen to sign Vinicius Junior, but the Brazil international decided to stay at Real Madrid by penning a new long-term contract . Stats from Transfermarkt
