ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: Austria Wien score seven, Graz drop points and Pölten keep winning

ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: Austria Wien score seven, Graz drop points and Pölten keep winning The fourth week of football in the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga was laden with goals. SKN St. Pölten are now the only team to retain a 100 percent win record as Graz unexpectedly dropped points to a tenacious First Vienna. Südburgenland now fall to the foot of the table as SCR Altach and Blau-Weiß Linz pick up points. SK Sturm Graz remain top of the table but their lead has now been reduced to just one point after their draw with First Vienna. This week also saw an unexpected but thoroughly deserved 7-0 thumping of Red Bull Salzburg by Stefan Kenesei’s Austria Wien. FK Austria Wien vs FC Red Bull Salzburg It’s two league wins in a row now for Stefan Kenesei’s side. Having recovered well from their season opening loss against SKN St. Pölten, the Austria Wien team now seem to be thriving. The current reigning champions relentlessly demolished last season’s ÖFB Frauen Cup final opponents Red Bull Salzburg. There was seven goals in the 90 minutes and all of them fell for Austria Wien. Former VfL Wolfsburg star Lotta Cordes, in her second season at FAK, managed to grab two goals, taking her league goal tally to six overall. New signing Patricia Pfanner also grabbed a brace, making her the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga’s second top goal scorer on four goals. The talented forward grabbed 11 goals in the 2025/26 season for First Vienna and has settled in well at her new club across the city. In all competitions now, Pfanner has netted six in just five games — an unbelievable start to her FAK career. View this post on Instagram There was a well-earned goal for defender Louise Schöffel, who also contributed two assists for her teammates in a solid performance. The player of the evening was Modesta Uka, who not only scored on the 41st minute but provided one of the most beautiful examples of attacking play you’ll be likely to see this season. She turned two defenders multiple times, leaving one of them lying on the pitch to set up the goal for Schöffel. Uka is a player who continues to look better game after game. It’s becoming more evident that the 27-year-old Kosovo international is destined for big things in the prime of her career. The game finished 7-0 to the home side and leaves Salzburg with nothing but questions going forward. First Vienna FC 1894 vs SK Sturm Graz It was an unexpected result for SK Sturm Graz as they dropped their first points of the season. However, they remain top of the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga by a single point. First Vienna got the scoring underway in the second half as 19-year-old Lilah Havel lobbed the ball over Graz ‘keeper Sarah-Lisa Dübel after a classy pass from Hannah Fankhauser. It was a goal against the play of the game. SK Sturm Graz finished the game with 72 percent of the possession. SK Sturm Graz managed to save a point for themselves through new signing Sara Pavlović, who joined over the season break from Austria Wien. Pavlović fired past Grabenhofer at the Hohe Warte stadium from range. A smart finish from the Serbian international. Tode Djakovic of SK Sturm Graz. Image: SturmTifo 2026 It’ll no doubt be a disappointing result for Sturm Graz coach Tode Djakovic. However, with a one-point lead at the top of the table and European football against Lithuanian side Gintra on Wednesday, there’s a lot of positives to focus on. For First Vienna, the season is going roughly to plan. Sitting fourth in the league table on six points is a comfortable place to be for the side who finished sixth in the 2025/26 season. LASK vs SKN St. Pölten It was a routine win for St. Pölten as they travelled to the Stadion Verbandsanlage. LASK did their best to hold a strong defensive line throughout the game but Pölten and their now signature two-touch football proved too much for the Linz based side. Laurent Fassotte’s team got underway through a goal from Union Berlin loanee Alma Aagaard as she pounced on a poor back-pass from LASK captain Sinet Räämet. Calmly finishing as she chipped the ball into the LASK net. It was 21-year-old former First Vienna attacker Isabel Aistleitner who finished the game off. She expertly pulled the ball away from goalkeeper Andrea Gurtner to finish into an empty net. SKN St. Pölten are now the only team in the league who have a 100 percent win record. A testament to their ability to bounce back after their heart breaking end to the 2025/26 season. LASK now sit sixth in the league table, with one win from four fixtures. SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg vs FC Blau-Weiß Linz Kleinmünchen It was a tense fixture at the Stegersbach/Thermenstadion as Blau-Weiß Linz claimed their first win and their first points of the 2026/27 ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga season. Linz waited until the 83rd minute to take the lead though Sarah Lackner, giving them the 0-1 victory. Lackner headed the ball past Südburgenland goalkeeper Dora Schvirján from a beautifully dangerous corner taken by Lea Krinzinger. As tensions rose throughout the game, Südburgenland head coach Michael Thek picked up a yellow card from the referee. Despite the result, Thek’s side are performing above expectations. The side only managed to amass five points in the 2025/26 season and are already on two this season after draws against First Vienna and SK Rapid. Blau-Weiß Linz now sit eight in the league table and face SK Rapid in the next round of fixtures. A tie both teams probably feel as though they can come away with points. SK Rapid vs SCR Altach In what was a physical fixture with a heavy exchange of possession throughout the 90 minutes, SCR Altach picked up their first points of the season in a tightly contested 0-1 win. It was SK Rapid’s first home game of their existence in the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga and around 450 of their fans turned up for the fixture. If it had been a fairytale ending, Rapid would’ve seen victory but alas, the Bundesliga is not a forgiving environment. It was German national Vera Ellgaß that applied pressure in the Rapid box. The free ball was then pounced on by Lea Marie Reisinger as she netted calmly within five yards. It marks Reiseinger’s first league goal for the club since joining from Turbine Potsdam in the 2025/26 season. Altach head-coach Leandro Simonelli will be grateful for the three points after a brutal start to his team’s season, facing SK Sturm Graz and SKN St. Pölten in their first two fixtures. It was a game where either side could’ve come away with the three points and Rapid will have positives to take away to Linz in their next fixture. “We’re getting better each week,” Rapid coach Katja Gürtler told Her Football Hub post-match. “We had good moments playing the ball forward. I think we’ve made a huge step in comparison with our last fixture.” Related articles from Her Football Hub: ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga: SK Sturm Graz sign Dutch defender Merel Bormans from FC Utrecht ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga: LASK make six new signings ahead of 2026/27 season ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: Graz remain top, RB Salzburg stay perfect and Südburgenland force draw
