Barcelona lower their asking price to €25 million for exit-bound midfielder; suitors still hesitating

Barcelona lower their asking price to €25 million for exit-bound midfielder; suitors still hesitating Barcelona’s plans for the final stages of the summer transfer window appear increasingly clear: Marc Casado will leave, but finding a club willing to meet their valuation is proving to be a difficult task. According to MARCA , Barcelona are seeking around €25 million for the midfielder, a figure that has so far complicated negotiations with interested clubs.  There has been no shortage of enquiries surrounding Casado, yet none of the potential suitors have submitted a formal offer that matches the club’s expectations. Barcelona’s €25 million valuation creates obstacle Casado’s departure has seemingly been on the cards since the end of last season.  The midfielder was informed that regular minutes could be difficult to come by during the current campaign, prompting his camp to explore opportunities elsewhere. Barcelona’s asking price, though, remains a significant hurdle. The report suggests that the club could have potentially commanded more than €30 million for Casado a while ago, but his reduced involvement last season has affected his market value. Interest has reportedly come from Saudi Arabia , with two clubs monitoring the situation, including Al Hilal.  A move to the Middle East appears unlikely at present, though, as Casado does not want to continue his career there. Attention has also turned towards England, where Sunderland and Nottingham Forest have emerged as potential destinations.  Casado is certain to leave Barcelona. Turkish clubs could offer a new route The outlet confirms that Turkey has emerged as another possible destination in recent days.  On that note, two Turkish clubs are said to be assessing the possibility of signing Casado, with Besiktas among the interested teams. The Istanbul side had already shown interest in the midfielder earlier in June, and the possibility of reviving that pursuit could give Barcelona another avenue to facilitate his departure. For now, Casado’s future remains unresolved. The midfielder appears set to move on from Barcelona, but Mendes still has work to do to find the right destination and, crucially, a club capable of getting close enough to Barcelona’s €25 million asking price.
