Plymouth 'in a better place' despite Coventry loss

The Pilgrims went two goals behind in the opening stages of Tuesday night's tie, but managed to draw level, before the Premier League side scored twice late on. There were debuts for new signings Tyreeq Bakinson, Oliver Irow, and goalkeeper James Storer, as well as for 17-year-old academy player Joe Mwaro. Cleverley said strong performances all over the pitch had made picking a team for Saturday's league tie against Bradford a "headache". Coventry rally to reach third round after Plymouth scare "This is what you want from these cup ties," Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon. "Leading into this weekend I've got headaches because a lot of players have made it tough to pick the team, which is a healthy thing. "So, we've lost the game, which we never want to do, but I think we're in a better place for it." Speaking about Mwaro's first appearance, Cleverly said the defender was "brilliant". "You would never have though it was his debut because of how assured he looked and how physically ready he was. "But also, I'm really pleased with his calmness and quality on the ball as well."
