Atletico Madrid go on the offensive against Barcelona to protect Julian Alvarez Atletico Madrid have taken their confrontation with Barcelona over Julian Alvarez to another level, with the club preparing to add further evidence to their existing cases with FIFA and the RFEF, reports Carrusel Deportivo . As such, Atletico now believe the situation is having a direct impact on their player.  It is to be noted that Alvarez did not attend training today after contacting the club’s medical staff to explain that he was not feeling well and did not feel capable of taking part in the session. Atletico Madrid to add more evidence Atletico Madrid already have ongoing cases involving Barcelona, and the club is now set to include what they consider to be further evidence, along with the consequences of the pressure surrounding Alvarez. The Madrid club believe the situation has destabilised the Argentine forward and affected his ability to work normally, especially now that Joan Laporta has also talked about it .  They attribute that pressure to the handling of the transfer situation by Barcelona, Alvarez’s representative and his entourage. The club therefore intend to use the latest developments as part of their effort to defend their interests in the matter. The player remains in contact with the club’s medical and support services, while Atletico are prepared to give him the necessary time and assistance to recover and return to normal training as soon as possible.
