Liverpool refuse to give up on Bradley Barcola despite PSG’s transfer stance

Liverpool refuse to give up on Bradley Barcola despite PSG’s transfer stance Liverpool haven’t given up their pursuit of Bradley Barcola despite Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer stance.  According to The Athletic , the Reds still hope to agree a deal with PSG for Barcola.  The 23-year-old is willing to join Liverpool after growing frustrated at the Ligue 1 club over his limited playing time in major fixtures.  PSG are demanding £145 million to sanction a sale .  Barcola made 49 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists.   But manager Luis Enrique dropped him from the starting line-up for the club’s biggest games, including the Champions League final.  Mohamed Salah’s departure has left a significant void in Liverpool’s attack.  Finding a like-for-like replacement for the Egypt international may not be possible.  But the Merseyside club are looking to bring in someone who can add pace, creativity and goals.  Barcola is young and has proven himself at the top level of football. He offers goal threat and is renowned for his explosive pace and dribbling skills.  But Liverpool are unlikely to meet PSG’s asking price for the Frenchman.  The Premier League club have been cautious in the market after splashing a record £446m for seven new signings last summer.  PSG could lower their asking fee over the coming days.  Barcola has two years left on his contract and it is clear he wants to leave.  Stats from Transfermarkt
