The 20-year-old has agreed a long-term contract with the League One club having scored 31 goals for Fylde last season as they won the National League North title. "The agreement with Peterborough United represents a guaranteed fee of £600,000, alongside a substantial future sell-on clause," the National League club said. "We believe the guaranteed element of the transfer places Danny as the second-highest National League transfer of all time and is a significant piece of business for the club as we continue to build for the future." Ormerod had already scored two goals in three games for Fylde this season before completing his move to London Road. "Danny is a player that has plenty of potential and has played a good amount of games for his age. He will provide another attacking option for us," said Peterborough boss Luke Williams.
