Lille interested in Martin Terrier return

Lille interested in Martin Terrier return Ligue 1 interest in Martin Terrier (29) is growing. Earlier this week, Foot Mercato reported Stade Rennais’ interest in bringing the forward back to France’s top flight. Lille OSC are also in the race, L’Équipe understands. In two seasons at Bayer Leverkusen, Terrier has been limited to just 44 appearances. In that time, he has netted seven goals. He has been less successful there than he was at Roazhon Park. With Rennes, Terrier scored 51 goals and registered 24 assists in 141 games in all competitions. A return to France could now be on the cards. However, a deal for LOSC could prove difficult. Terrier is keen on returning to L’Héxagone, whilst Lille’s president, Olivier Létang, has a strong personal relationship with the forward, with whom he converses often. But the finances of the deal are difficult, even if LOSC wanted to conclude a loan deal as Bayer Leverkusen are not a facilitator in this deal and Les Dogues are not in a position to pay all of Terrier’s salary.
