The 31-year-old shot-stopper has signed a four-year contract with the La Liga champions running until the summer of 2030. “Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and Fenerbahçe SK for the transfer of Dominik Livakovic. The Croatian keeper signs for four seasons up to 30 June 2030,” the club statement read. Talks over a move for Livakovic picked up pace over the past week. It was initially expected that Barça would sign him and loan him out this season, before integrating him into the team next year after Wojciech Szczesny’s contract expired. But the plans changed in recent days , with the Croatian international, who impressed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, landing in Catalonia earlier this week to complete his medical and other formalities. Now, the goalkeeper’s signing has been made official, with Livakovic returning to La Liga after spending the first half of the last season on loan at Girona. While the statement does not mention the details of the operation, it is believed that Barcelona have signed the veteran star for a fee of €2 million with another €2 million due in add-ons . Livakovic will serve as the backup to Joan Garcia in the Barcelona squad, while Szczesny is likely to essay the role of the third goalkeeper at the club this season.
