His ability to operate both centrally and from the flank gives Bayern a different attacking profile behind their established starters. That versatility has not, however, removed the competition problem. Luis Díaz remains firmly established on the left, while Serge Gnabry and new arrival Ismael Saibari can also occupy wide attacking positions. Bayern must therefore weigh Ibrahimović’s usefulness as squad depth against the developmental value of another season featuring regular first-team football. Ibrahimović himself reportedly remains focused on succeeding in Munich but is open to an attractive sporting opportunity at a high level. Bayern move on Wisdom Mike and Felipe Chavez Bayern have already resolved the immediate futures of two other young attackers. Seventeen-year-old Wisdom Mike has completed a permanent €5m transfer to Belgian champions Club Brugge. The Munich-born winger – who impressed during Bayern’s camp last season – made just five senior Bayern appearances last year. Mike joined the Bayern academy at 13 and made his professional debut only two days after his 17th birthday. Intriguingly, his sole Champions League appearance for Bayern came against his new club. Mike entered as a substitute during a 4-0 victory over Brugge last October. Bayern approved the permanent sale after receiving what Kicker described as a notably strong €5m offer. Felipe Chavez, meanwhile, remains under Bayern control. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder extended his contract through 2028 before joining 1. FC Magdeburg on loan for the entire 2026/27 campaign. Chavez spent the second half of last season on loan with Köln, making seven appearances after two brief Bundesliga outings for Bayern.
