Manchester City will have their midfield workhorse available to play against Crystal Palace Elliot Anderson was substituted after 63 minutes as Manchester City beat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday. Prior to coming off, Anderson was involved in a coming together with Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. However, it was revealed by Enzo Maresca that Anderson was suffering cramp rather than anything more serious . Maresca has provided a positive update on Anderson’s fitness and availability for Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace. He also provided an update on the condition of two other players ahead of tomorrow night’s match at Selhurst Park. Elliot Anderson is fully fit and available for Manchester City’s clash with Crystal Palace. During his pre-game press conference that took place earlier today, ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace, Enzo Maresca was asked if Elliot Anderson was fit to play. Maresca said that Anderson is fit and ready to play tomorrow night. When asked Anderson’s condition, Maresca said: “ Yeah, Elliot [Anderson] is fully fit. Last week was just cramp. ” Also, Enzo Maresca provided an update on the fitness of Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes. Doku is ruled of out of tomorrow night’s match due to a calf injury and Matheus Nunes continues to work his was back to full fitness. Speaking on the pairs fitness, Maresca said: “ Jeremy is out.Matheus we will see, he is still not 100%. ” Manchester City will be relieved to have Elliot Anderson available to play, while it remains to be seen if Matheus Nunes can start at Selhurst Park. Elliot Anderson will habe a pivotal role to play in the Manchester City midfield at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace are tough to beat at home, and Anderson will have a crucial role to play in helping City win the midfield battle which could well shape the game. Also, City have only just signed Ayyoub Bouaddi and their midfield rebuild is continuing so are they light for midfielders at the moment. It is a relief that Anderson should take his place in Enzo Maresca’s starting lineup at Selhurst Park. It is hoped that Matheus Nunes can start against Crystal Palace. He remains City’s first-choice right-back and Enzo Maresca’s side did look a lot better when Nunes came on in the second half against Bournemouth. Nunes is working his way back to full fitness so perhaps he may start, but isn’t ready to play the full 90 minutes just yet. Whether this occurs will be known the starting lineups are announced ahead of tomorrow night’s match. Elliot Anderson is fully fit and available to play for Manchester City against Crystal Palace tomorrow night. That is great news for Enzo Maresca’s side as they will face a tough and combative side at Selhurst Park and will need Elliot Anderson in midfield.
