New Rangers winger Kim Min-su, 20, moved to Spain at a young age and played in the youth ranks at Mercantil and Damm before joining Girona in 2022. His form for Girona's B side earned the teenager a first-team debut two years later and he departs having made eight appearances, including a Champions League outing against PSV Eindhoven. But it was on loan - at second-tier Andorra last season - where Kim was able to consistently showcase his talents. Across 40 appearances in all competitions he netted six goals and set up four. The winger had 62 shots, 26 of which were on target, and generated an expected goals (xG) of 5.59, a number he outperformed. Kim can clearly get himself into good areas too - he had 102 touches in opposition penalty areas and won 54 fouls. His passing accuracy was 83% and he created 32 chances, four of which were big chances. However, less than a quarter of his crosses were successful. Kim works hard defensively too - he made 109 recoveries and won possession in the final third 20 times. The right-footed winger is comfortable on either flank and has also been deployed through the middle. Rangers clearly have high hopes for the player - at a reported fee of £8.5m, Kim is the second most expensive signing in the club's history. Joel Kim, a Korean football expert, says the Rangers newcomer boasts frightening pace and plenty of potential. "He's still a prospect but what makes him so special and worth 10 million euros is the raw talent and ability he brings," he told The 4th Official podcast. "He's a creator, very technical and has unbelievable pace, unbelievable speed. It just leaps out when you watch him play. "Kim can be a very special player for the national team and Rangers."
