Liverpool forward deal falls through

Liverpool forward deal falls through In recent days the Liverpool fanbase has been excited by the prospect of finally landing the superstar winger signing they’ve craved all summer long. Bradley Barcola at last seems close with an agreement struck with Paris Saint-Germain to sign the France forward for £120m including add-ons. And don’t discount other market opportunities in the closing stages of the window. It’s believed Ismaila Sarr is still of interest to the 2024/25 Premier League champions who have a gap for a natural right-sided attacker in the lineup. And while the trail for Yankuba Minteh now seems to have gone cold the possibility of landing Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG should not be ruled out. Liverpool now require outgoings Andoni Iraola’s forward options therefore are going to appear a lot different once that window closes on Tuesday September 1. Inevitably between now and then there will be outgoings in order to accommodate the new faces in the squad and on the wage bill. The most high-profile exit is going to be Cody Gakpo - with Tottenham pursuing a deal for the 27-year-old valued at around £72m. Another linked with the exit has been Federico Chiesa . Inter Milan seeking Federico Chiesa deal Currently injured the 28-year-old failed to grasp his preseason opportunity under Iraola leading to speculation that he will be shipped out so long as a buyer is found. The Italy international’s £150k per week pay packet will provide a sizeable barrier for any Serie A clubs and Richard Hughes is also insisting on a transfer fee for a player who cost £12.5m from Juventus two years ago. Inter Milan - the Scudetto holders - have been among the reported interested parties for Chiesa. With Cristian Chivu seeking a versatile option for his fifth forward position Chiesa was the one who fit the bill. Inter can't sell Luis Henrique, Chiesa deal off So long as Luis Henrique could be sold to Roma then the trigger would be pulled for Chiesa. According to a report on Barzacom however the Chiesa to Inter deal is now OFF because Inter cannot come to terms with Roma over a move for Brazilian winger Luis Henrique. Roma were only prepared to sanction a loan - with an option to buy rather than an obligation. Whereas Inter wanted a quick sale and it looks liked Roma have now moved onto other targets. Should a deal for Jayden Oosterwolde of Fenerbahce fall down however there remains the possibility that the Luis Henrique file could be once again opened. And - if that happens - then Chiesa may well be back on the menu for Inter. Right now it appears as though the Nerazzurri are walking away from the Chiesa operation and the former Fiorentina darling will be once again left in transfer limbo.
