Rashford set to stay at Man Utd

[Getty Images] I can't imagine a less likely person to start talking about their club's transfer plans than Michael Carrick. The Manchester United head coach is bound to be asked, though, particularly around Joshua Zirkzee, who Serie A outfit Fiorentina are interested in, and Marcus Rashford, who is the subject of fresh reports around interest from Fenerbahce. The consistent belief from all sides for the past month or so has been that Rashford will remain at United this season, and that is still the situation now. Indeed, as he was one of the better performers in the defeat at Hull City last week, when he came on at half-time, there is a chance he will start against Ipswich at Old Trafford on Sunday. Zirkzee is likely to be a different story and it will be interesting to see if any of the other Italian clubs who have expressed an interest in the Netherlands forward this summer now make a concrete move. The Fiorentina approach is around a loan. Ideally, United would prefer a sale – or at least a loan with an obligation to buy.
