Bristol City 'prepared' for end of window - Skubala

Elijah Adebayo became the Robins' 10th summer signing earlier this week, with the window closing on 1 September. While he dismissed the prospect of any imminent outgoings, Skubala said things can become unpredictable as the deadline approaches. However, he insisted that City are prepared for whatever might happen and he does not expect to be talking about transfers in his post-match news conference following Tuesday's game against Preston North End. "I think we are more planned than that, if I'm honest," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "Of course, things do come last minute - I have been in situations where there is an hour to go and something happens. The most important thing is we are prepared for what could happen but I don't expect us to be doing stuff last minute. "The window changes very quickly in hours, over days. But we are in a good position with whatever happens and we are prepared for whatever happens." Skubala is in constant contact with sporting director James Ellis over potential incomings and outgoings but is more focused on the visit of Portsmouth on Saturday and the trip to Deepdale three days later. "James and I are seeing a lot of each other and talking a lot," he said. "After Saturday things will start to go hectic as they always do with the window but I am more focused on the game ahead and what we have to do to get the three points on Saturday and then after that on Tuesday night. "James has definitely got his finger on the pulse as always around the window and we are happy. We are prepared for everything, which is the most important thing."
