Crystal Palace to rival Chelsea in race to sign AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara Crystal Palace FC haven’t given up hope in the race to sign Chelsea FC target Lamine Camara (22) from AS Monaco, according to reports from Nice-Matin and L’Equipe . The Senegal international midfielder could be on his way out of the Principality club before the end of this summer’s transfer window. The Blues are the most interested club in Camara, L’Equipe reports. The former Metz midfielder would replace Enzo Fernandez with the Argentine set to complete a transfer to Manchester City . Clearlake Capital co-founder Beghdad Eghbali reportedly met with AS Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro on Thursday. Liverpool, who hold a long-standing interest in Camara, could make a move for the midfielder, but the Reds appear to be playing catch up against their Premier League rivals. Nice-Matin understands it will be a three-way fight to snap up the AS Monaco defensif midfielder. Despite seeing one of their bids rejected, Crystal Palace remain interested in acquiring Camara.
