The outlet understands that Crystal Palace have pulled the plug on the Ordóñez deal with Club Brugge. The Ecuador international, who sustained a foot injury during the 2026 World Cup, failed his medical. In light of this development, Palace have resorted to pursue an alternative centre-back target in Solet. The Eagles are expected to submit a bid – between €25m and €30m – to their Italian counter-parts. Solet has entered the final months of his Udinese deal, but his contract could be extended by a further year.
