Bradley Barcola set for big-money move to Liverpool as deal agreed

Bradley Barcola is set to join Liverpool after they reached a final agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for his big-money transfer. Liverpool will pay an initial £106m for the France winger, which could rise to £123m, including add-ons, and he is expected to sign a five-year deal at Anfield . They had reached an outline agreement with Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week after a breakthrough in negotiations. The Champions League winners had quoted Liverpool £145m for Barcola, but that was more than the Merseyside club were prepared to pay. Barcola will become the second biggest signing in Liverpool’s history, behind only Alexander Isak , who cost £125m last summer, and ahead of Florian Wirtz , who joined for £100m, which could go up to £116m. New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has targeted wingers in his first summer at Anfield and brought in his fellow Spaniard Victor Munoz from Osasuna. Liverpool also made one bid for Yan Diomande, who instead left RB Leipzig for Real Madrid, and two for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh as well as considering Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr. It remains to be seen if they will try and sign a third winger before Tuesday’s transfer deadline. If so, it could mean Cody Gakpo leaves.
