Manchester United Are Eager To Land This Ligue 1 Forward: One For The Future? In a recent report , Fichajes claimed that Manchester United are eager to land Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo this summer. It has been revealed that the Red Devils have set their sights on the Belgian striker ahead of a potential move for him this off-season. Fernandez-Pardo’s Impressive Rise In French Football Fernandez-Pardo enjoyed a good run of form at the French club in the previous campaign when he put in a series of productive displays for them in the final third. The Belgian attacker banged in eight goals and earned seven assists in 41 matches for Lille last season across multiple competitions. The 21-year-old is currently among the most talented forwards in Ligue 1. Hence, Man United would do well to bring him on board this summer. His current contract at Lille will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to secure his services on a cut-price deal in this transfer window. Fernandez-Pardo is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field and is a decent dribbler with the ball as well. The gifted striker can even use his strong 1.88m frame to dominate the opposition defenders in the air. The Belgian sensation deserves credit for already adding a lot of goals and assists to his game. Fernandez-Pardo is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to sign him this off-season. Fernandez-Pardo will add more firepower to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s frontline. He is good enough to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons. At 21, Fernandez-Pardo has got the potential to be a future star in English football. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Carrick would be wise to step up his efforts to sign him later this year.
