Chelsea Identify This Real Madrid Playmaker As A Target: What Will He Bring To Stamford Bridge? In a recent report , Fichajes stated that Chelsea have identified Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler as a target. It has been claimed that the Blues are showing interest in recruiting the Turkish talent in this summer transfer window. Guler’s Impressive Season In La Liga The 21-year-old enjoyed a decent campaign at the Spanish club after putting in a handful of impressive performances for them in the final third. Guler netted six goals and earned 14 assists in 51 matches for Real Madrid last season in multiple competitions. The Turkish talent is currently one of the most talented playmakers in La Liga. Thus, the Blues would do well to lure him to Stamford Bridge before the end of this transfer period. His current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Chelsea to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season. Guler is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. He can strike the ball with venom from long range. The Turkish sensation did well to chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Guler is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play as a right-winger or as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to get him on board in this transfer window. Guler would undoubtedly bring more quality and depth to Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team place at Stamford Bridge in the coming years. At 21, the future looks quite promising for Guler as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, he would be a great signing for Chelsea to pull off this summer. However, Alonso has to give him some time to adjust to life in the Premier League before he can get the best out of the Spain international.
