Pedro Gets 8.5, Palmer With 8 | Chelsea Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Brighton Chelsea entertained Brighton and Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Blues made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the fourth-minute when Romeo Lavia found the back of the net. Pedro Neto doubled his side’s lead in the 14th minute before Joao Pedro put daylight between the two sides in the 32nd minute. Malick Yalcouye got a goal back for the Seagulls just three minutes later as Xabi Alonso’s men went into the half-time break 3-1 up on the scoreline. Joao Pedro scored an unfortunate own goal in the 63rd minute before Cole Palmer restored his team’s two-goal lead in the 74th minute. Pascal Gross got a goal back for Brighton injury-time, but the Blues hung on and secured a narrow 4-3 win at Stamford Bridge. CM: Cole Palmer – 7.5/10 Palmer caused a lot of problems for the Brighton defenders and got himself a deserved goal in the second half. CM: Romeo Lavia – 7/10 He failed to protect his backline but managed to score early in the game. LM: Jorrel Hato – 7/10 Hato was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and has an assist to show for his efforts. ST: Joao Pedro – 8.5/10 Pedro created all kinds of chaos in and around the Brighton penalty box and managed to score and create a goal. However, he also scored an unfortunate own goal. CM: Moises Caicedo – 6/10 He picked up an injury and had to be replaced. CM: Reece James – 6/10 His impact on the game was minimal. RB: Josh Acheampong – 6/10 He failed to keep things solid at the back. LB: Pep Chavarria – 6/10 Chavarria struggled to influence the game.
