Report: €10 million-rated Barcelona gem weighing up offers from second-division clubs The countdown to the end of the summer transfer window has begun, with FC Barcelona looking to close some last-minute operations. Sabadell and Andorra step up interest And, according to Mundo Deportivo , Sabadell and Andorra, both interested for several weeks, have stepped up their efforts to convince Guille. The 18-year-old La Masia midfielder has always been clear about his priority: he wants a sporting project where he can play regularly and take on an important role. That was already his thinking when Barcelona offered him a contract renewal at the beginning of the summer, with the intention of sending him out on loan this season. Now, with only one year left on his contract, the more logical solution is a permanent transfer, with Barça retaining a percentage of his rights, as they are doing with his cousin Toni. In that regard, Andorra and, particularly, Sabadell have emerged as increasingly attractive options. A move to either club would make his adaptation relatively straightforward. He could continue living in Barcelona with his family, while his brother remains in the Barça youth system. Andorra already asked about him a year ago, although Guille chose to remain at Barcelona. In either case, his arrival would represent a significant addition for the club. The difficulty lies elsewhere: Barcelona must approve the operation. Barça want to retain control This is where negotiations could become complicated. Barça value Guille at around €10 million, despite his release clause being twice that amount. Following the departure model the club have adopted with other academy players this summer, Barcelona could consider accepting around €5 million for 50% of his rights. The Catalan club’s position is clear: they want to retain a significant stake in Guille’s future rather than completely relinquish control of a player they still consider to have considerable potential. That could make the negotiating role of Jorge Mendes particularly important, with the parties potentially having to explore alternative formulas to reach an agreement. Foreign clubs offer a different financial picture The economic situation looks different abroad. Foreign clubs have already made sizeable offers for Guille, although Barcelona have rejected them so far. Among those interested are Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund, the latter having also asked about the midfielder in previous summers. Their financial capacity could give them an advantage over Sabadell and Andorra if the negotiations come down to money. For now, though, Guille has only a few days left to decide his future, with Sabadell and Andorra pushing hard and Barça determined to protect their interests in any potential departure.
