Kante leaves Middlesbrough to join Al-Ettifaq
Midfielder Abdoulaye Kante has left Middlesbrough to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq on a permanent deal. Kante, 21, moved to Boro last summer from French club Troyes and spent the second half of last season on loan at Saint-Etienne. He started Boro's first Championship game of the season, playing over an hour, as they came from behind to beat Lincoln City 2-1. In total, Kante made six appearances for the club.
