Iraola on team fitness, Barcola and 'starting stronger' at Ipswich

Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has been speaking to the media before Friday's Premier League game against Ipswich Town at Portman Road (kick-off 20:00 BST). Here are the key lines from his news conference: Joe Gomez is expected to resume training next week and should return to the squad before the September international break. Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley are further behind Gomez in the timescale of their returns. New signing Bradley Barcola "will definitely be available" for Friday's match if "everything goes well" in Thursday's training session. It's good to have players that can cope with different positions and very valuable, because even in games they allow me to change positions." He said they "have to start stronger" against Ipswich and has told his players to not "wait until the first goal to be more aggressive". He said there was no news on a new contract for Rio Ngumoha.
