Juventus switch 'could play to Woltemade's strengths'

[Getty Images] Football journalist Julien Laurens believes playing in Serie A "could work and play to Nick Woltemade strengths", with the Newcastle forward having joined Juventus on a season-long loan deal. Germany international Woltemade joined the Magpies last summer but has struggled to bed into the Premier League. He featured 53 times last season, scoring 11 goals. Juventus will pay Newcastle a £3.5m loan fee for Woltemade, but do not have the option to buy the 24-year-old. "It will be interesting to see what Luciano Spalletti does with him because he's got quite a good track record with strikers," Laurens told BBC Radio 5 Live's Euro Leagues podcast. "He's done well with them when he has the right profile in his team. "Woltemade staying at Newcastle was never going to work because of Matthias Jaissle's style of play. "He's not what Jaissle looks for in a number nine and 10-15 minutes off the bench is not good enough for him.
