Although it had been reported that the striker was being targeted by the Major League Soccer franchise – currently 15th and bottom of the Western Conference table – the transfer ultimately fell through at the last minute. Whilst the reason has not yet been identified, this setback is a major blow for Téfécé, who had hoped to pocket nearly fifteen million euros from the deal. Under contract with Les Violets until 2027, Gboho still has time to find a way out, as the Turkish, Portuguese and Saudi transfer windows remain open for a few more hours, or even a few days. Having come through the ranks at Stade Rennais, Gboho joined Toulouse in the winter of 2024, following a spell with Belgian club Cercle Brugge.
