De Rossi: ‘Como impressed me so much, on another level to Genoa’ Daniele De Rossi admits Como are ‘the opponent who impressed me the most since I’ve been at Genoa’ after running out 4-1 winners. ‘They are on another level right now.’ It has truly been a tough start to the season for the Grifone, who have lost all three Serie A matches so far, even if they were tricky fixtures against Napoli, Lazio and Como. (Photo by Simone Arveda/Getty Images) “It’s true that we had started well, but also true that against a team like Como, you need to be perfect for 90 minutes,” De Rossi told DAZN Italia. “We had taken the lead, which was the hardest part, but they are perhaps the opponent who have impressed me the most since I’ve been at Genoa. When it comes to fighting for safety, you can have runs of bad results, but the transfer market is over now, we know who we are, and those in the stands cheering us on are fundamental. “We know there are things to improve, we always hoped to get points against the bigger clubs, but these were different matches. I was disappointed with the first half against Lazio, I felt we deserved something from the Napoli game, whereas against Como I felt honestly they were just so much better.”
