PSG's poor start continues with home loss to Monaco

The Champions League holders have now failed to win any of their three domestic fixtures after goals from Flavio Nazinho and Stanis Idumbo in the second half secured a rare win for the visitors at Parc des Princes. PSG boss Luis Enrique, who has agreed a contract extension , watched his side take the lead after 31 minutes through a close-range header from captain Marquinhos, but they were unable to extend their advantage before the break despite Monaco failing to register a shot on target. Monaco restored parity 13 minutes into the second half when Nazinho connected with Jordan Teze's cross at the back post. Fourteen minutes later, the visitors moved ahead when Idumbo rifled the ball past Matvey Safonov at his near post. It was the first time PSG had lost a game when leading at half-time since March 2021, when they were beaten by Nantes. The result means Monaco move top of the table after maintaining their 100% start, while PSG fall to 12th.
