Today’s match is the third fixture of both teams’ 2026-27 Premier League campaigns. Enzo Maresca’s side enters today’s match after winning their first two league fixtures of the season. Frank Lampard’s side have lost their first two games of the season and will be desperate to put in a good performance to give life to their season after being promoted from the Championship last season. Jeremy Doku is the only player unavailable for today’s match for Manchester City. The Belgian winger remains sidelined due to the calf injury he sustained in City’s 3-0 FA Community Shield defeat to Arsenal. Matheus Nunes is available for selection which is a boost for Enzo Maresca’s side. Enzo Fernandez, Iliman Ndiaye and Allan are all available for selection today. Provided that all three are selected in Manchester City’s matchday squad they could all make their first appearances in a City shirt at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
