Obviously, with Hugo Ekitike out of action until who knows when, the Sweden international is going to be the Reds' main number nine. However, since Gakpo and Barcola both prefer to play on the left, one of them is going to have to make the sacrifice of playing on the right. For Wirtz, things are okay as, for now, Dominik Szoboszlai is needed in other areas of the pitch so his role as the Reds' main number 10 is also safe for now. If Iraola can manage to keep all four of them fit throughout the season, they could easily be onto a Premier League-winning season. Obviously, it's still very early into the campaign so nothing can be guaranteed but, individually, Liverpool easily have some of the world's best players. So, while Gakpo becoming the Reds' next £100 million winger may have come as a bit of a shock, it's now clear how important the Dutchman actually is to the way that Liverpool play.
