Arsenal Are Eyeing A January Move For This Barcelona Star: Should Arteta Get Him On Board? In a recent report , journalist Mark Brus stated that Arsenal are eyeing a January move for Barcelona star Raphinha. It is understood that the Gunners are eager to acquire the services of the Brazilian attacker in the winter transfer window. Raphinha’s Impressive Form In La Liga Raphinha has made an excellent start to this campaign as he has managed to put in a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Brazilian talent has banged in five goals and grabbed one assist in three matches for Barcelona this season across all competitions. The 29-year-old is currently among the most talented wide players in La Liga. Hence, Arsenal would do well to bring him back to England in the January transfer window. His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Gunners to land him on the cheap this winter. (Photo by David Ramos/Getty Images) Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Get Raphinha On Board? Raphinha has the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can even engineer some decent chances for others around him in and around the opponent’s penalty area and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. The Brazilian talent is a powerful striker of the ball and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Raphinha is primarily a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or play as a striker if required. He already knows the Premier League well from his time at Leeds United and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Arsenal . We can expect Raphinha to bring more quality and depth to Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium in the coming years. At 29, Raphinha is still playing in his prime, which makes him a decent choice for the Gunners to consider in the January transfer period. He will also help Arsenal compete for some major honours over the next few years. All in all, Arteta would be wise to get Raphinha on board next year.
