Official: Inter lock Pio Esposito down to new contract until June 2032 Inter have officially extended the contract of striker Francesco Pio Esposito to June 2032, locking down the future of the 21-year-old Italy international. The Italian rules had previously limited contracts to a maximum of five years, but recent changes now allow for six seasons, and this is one of the first real examples of that being used in Serie A. Following a two-season loan spell in Serie B for Spezia, he returned to San Siro in 2025 and flourished under the guidance of coach Cristian Chivu , who had already worked with him in the youth team. He also contributed five goals in just nine senior caps for Italy, making his debut at this level in September 2025. It is widely reported that the new contract will see his salary improved to €2.7m per season net, compared to the €1.85m he was previously earning.
