Fan views - are London City good for women's football?

The WSL is growing but we need youth pathways to the senior team to remain to avoid loss of talent." Ian, Newport : "Yes because they are not dependant on the fortunes of a men's team. With a few exceptions investment in WSL teams fluctuates with the success of the men's team and / or whether owners are really bothered about a clubs women's team." Samuel, London: " I would say yes. It's nice to have a club that's not affiliated with a men's team. You can tell that the ambitions for the club are sky-high and the signings match that. It may not be a quick fix but they will become serious contenders." Sam, West Sussex : "This sort of rapid team building with a blank cheque destroyed the men's game. The same will be true of the women's game with the way LCL have behaved. It's soul destroying to witness. Progress via incremental growth means something. Progress purchased this way is depressing and soul destroying."
