Two Ligue 1 clubs were keen to sign former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, but… Two Ligue 1 clubs are reported to have recently made an offer to Anthony Martial (30) in a bid to secure his services, according to Foot Mercato . Whilst their identities have not been revealed, one of them is said to be near the top of the table, whilst the other is expected to be fighting to avoid relegation. OGC Nice and RC Lens, both of which had previously been linked with the French international, are reportedly not involved, however. Nevertheless, although keen to return to France, Martial is said to have turned down approaches from his suitors, preferring to wait for the ideal opportunity to relaunch his career. A free agent since the termination of his contract with the Mexican club Rayados, the former Manchester United striker has made it clear that he wishes to play a central role in whichever project he ultimately chooses. This is a request that his suitors, who were hoping to capitalise on his top-flight experience, have not been able to meet with any certainty. GFFN | Léo Aschi
