According to the latest reports, Esposito will take home a net salary of €2.7m per year on his new contract, up from the €1.85m-per-year he had been earning on his previous deal. His new wages will cost the club just shy of €5m per year with taxes included. Esposito’s new contract has also made history in Italy, as he is the first player in the nation to sign a six-year contract. These rules were amended on June 30, 2025, and the maximum duration of sporting contracts in Italy has been increased from five years to eight. Inter are the first club to take advantage of this change in legislation and Esposito has become the first player in Italy to sign a contract that runs for six years or longer.
