Torquay sign Argyle pair Finn and Roberts on loan

Finn, 18, moves to Plainmoor on a one-month deal while 20-year-old Roberts has agreed a spell that lasts until January. Since forward Finn made his debut as a 16-year-old against Leeds United in November 2024, he has scored three goals in 24 appearances. Midfielder Roberts, who also made his debut as a 16-year-old, has played 30 times for Argyle and spent a six-game National League spell on loan at Truro City last season. They are the latest new recruits for the Gulls after attackers Jacob Beaumont-Clark and Angelo Cappello and defender Oludare Olufunwa moved to the club. “Both players have great potential and, as we know, they need to be playing more competitive football to aid their development,” Plymouth Argyle director of football Derek Adams told the club website. "As we saw in pre-season, Torquay are a well-coached team, and ought to be contending at the top end of National League South, so it will be good for both players to get regular minutes at a good level."
