RC Lens receive reassuring injury news ahead of Champions League opener RC Lens have received a good piece of injury news ahead of their UEFA Champions League opener against Slavia Prague on Thursday night. During Saturday’s shock defeat to FC Lorient, two Lens players came off injured. Yacine Titraoui came off in the second-half with what looked like a serious muscle injury. The new signing is now expected to spend time on the sidelines. And whilst that is certainly a blow for Lens and Dino Toppmoller, there was perhaps even greater concern for Matthieu Udol, who came off earlier in the game. The Frenchman has suffered four ACL injuries in his career, and when he came off, the medical staff could be seen testing his knee on the bench. There were fears of a pitch ACL injury, but those have been allayed following medical tests, L’Équipe understands.
