Murray thrilled with Barrow double signing

Adam Murray secured promotion to the National League as Kidderminster boss before joining Barrow [Getty Images] Barrow manager Adam Murray is excited about working with the club's two newest signings as the club's rebuild continues. The Bluebirds have brought in forward Mikey Lane on loan from Fleetwood Town until 2 January and midfielder Dan Mooney. The 27-year-old Mooney had worked with Murray at Kidderminster Harriers last season, so the Barrow boss knows exactly what he is getting. "These lads love him, and I think the fans will love him because he epitomises what Barrow is about," Murray told BBC Radio Cumbria. "He's hard-working, he can be vicious at times, he wants to win, and he's prepared to die for the cause. He'll be a really good signing for us." Lane has joined from League Two Fleetwood, but he did have a spell in the National League North last season, on loan at Hereford, where the 19-year-old came up against Murray. "Mikey can play down the middle, which is his best position as a nine," said Murray. "He's all-action; he doesn't care who he's playing against, as he'll smash into people, and he's an unbelievable finisher." Barrow have moved up to 18th in the National League, thanks to their first league victory of the season at home to Sutton United .
