Official | Auxerre loan Francisco Sierralta to Gliwice Bought for just under €2m last summer, Francisco Sierralta (29) has joined Polish club Gliwice on a season-long loan. The deal, concluded on Wednesday, ahead of the closure of the transfer window in Poland, includes the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign. The Chilean joined from EFL Championship side Watford last summer and was immediately a key player under Christophe Pelissier, however, he lost his place in the side towards the end of the calendar year and did not make another Ligue 1 appearance from December onwards. His last appearance in any competition came in the Coupe de France, against AS Monaco, on 21st November. Despite his contract running until 2029, he had no future at the Bourgogne club and, following the managerial change in the summer, the defender was the subject of criticism from Will Still. He has now left the club to join Piast Gliwice. There is a buy option in the deal. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
