Marseille and Monaco enquire about West Ham’s Mohamadou Kanté

Marseille and Monaco enquire about West Ham’s Mohamadou Kanté West Ham United midfielder Mohamadou Kanté (20) is attracting interest from Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco, as per a report from  Foot Mercato . The Athletic  reported earlier this month that, following the Hammers’ relegation to the EFL Championship, Kanté could leave the club. Kanté joined West Ham from Paris FC back in 2024. Last season, he made the breakthrough into the first team. He made 11 appearances in the Premier League, although he only accumulated 66 minutes of playing time in the league. However, he did make starts in the FA Cup.  The Frenchman is, nonetheless, highly rated.  Foot Mercato  understands that around 20 clubs across Europe have been scouting the midfielder. There is unnamed Premier League interest, as well as interest in Italy, in the form of Fiorentina.  Marseille, who are awaiting meetings with UEFA and the DNCG before setting a budget for the summer window, and Monaco are also interested. Kanté’s contract with West Ham runs until the summer of 2031. He is valued at €20m, however,  Foot Mercato  understands that a loan move could also be a possibility.  GFFN | Luke Entwistle
