Fofana was not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Milan and joined Sevilla on deadline day after his move to Lyon collapsed. Fofana did not train with the rest of the Milan team in the second part of the pre-season earlier this summer. Fofana remains under contract with Milan until June 2028. Fofana made his Sevilla debut last weekend, coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw against Espanyol.
