PSG’s hat-trick hero names Barcelona among Champions League favourites this season Ferran Torres has only been away from Barcelona for a matter of months, but his belief in his former club’s European prospects remains strong. The Spain international, now at Paris Saint-Germain , put together his most impressive performance since moving to France by scoring a hat-trick in PSG’s 6-1 Champions League victory over Slovan Bratislava.  After the final whistle, he was asked to assess the teams capable of going all the way in Europe, and Barcelona were among the first names he mentioned. It’s going to be a great race,” said the former Barcelona forward, as reported by Mundo Deportivo . His assessment resembles recent comments from Ronald Araujo , who has also identified Barcelona as genuine candidates for the trophy. Torres enjoying strong start at PSG The former Barcelona forward has quickly established himself in Luis Enrique’s plans since his summer move to Paris. The result was particularly notable given the French champions’ contrasting domestic form.  PSG are still searching for their first Ligue 1 victory of the campaign, making their six-goal Champions League display a welcome response. Meanwhile, as far as Barcelona are concerned, the team has coped well even in Ferran’s absence, having scored a whopping 22 goals in the first five matches of the season .
