Exeter need to 'stand up and be counted' in attack

The Grecians have scored just four goals in five League Two games this season , the joint third-fewest in the division. The club signed experienced forward Danny Rose and brought in Millwall youngster Ajay Matthews on loan on deadline day after last season's top scorer Jayden Wareham and young striker Kieran Wilson departed towards the end of the window. They will supplement new signing Josh Gordon and Sonny Cox in the Grecians' frontline. "I can't question this group's desire. I can never hold that against them and I never want to hold that against them," Taylor told BBC Radio Devon. "They want to be there, they want to be in those positions, then it comes down to calmness and execution of your skillset. Confidence is a big thing and if Sonny's got a couple in under his belt and Ajay has got a couple under his belt and maybe Reece [Cole] the game before, these players will hit the back of the net and I'm confident they will do. "But I'm looking for people to really stand up and be counted in an attacking sense because at this moment in time defensively I think we're pretty well organised, well structured, people are really performing in that sense. "To go to the next level of team, and ultimately a winning team, then we have to put the ball in the back of the net a little bit more."
